Misnomer of the Day

The word fair or fairness or most fair is at best subjectively ambiguous. It is custom tailored for the moral relativists in our midst. Of lately, this malleable word is used as a ploy, providing cannon fodder for the left’s mission of disseminating class warfare.

Ask any misguided altruist to explain, how is it moral to confiscate the private property (wealth) of one man then surrender it to another. Chances are the word fair will creep into their specious rationalization. Our illustrious president used the word 14 times in a campaign speech at a high school recently, appealing to that level of maturity characteristic of public school indoctrination.

Advocating fairness, which in this context happens to be immoral (sacrificing one’s individual rights while expanding the power of the state) is this president’s moral failing, consecrated in a political ideology of socialism, one which boarders on insanity, repeating the same socialistic failures over and over while anticipating a different outcome.

If his argument had any merit, he wouldn’t have to repeat the word fair fourteen times; apparently he’s banking on the age old axiom: If one repeats a falsehood over and over, others will come to believe it as true.

Misnomer of the Day

The most inflammatory rhetoric emanating from the Justice Department these days has
to be this farcical misnomer referred to as: Domestic Terrorists. This
dangerous accusation has no relevancy in reality; it’s like claiming infants
are a threat to our national security, because one day they will grow to
adults, think for themselves, and discover freedom and individual rights are
the precursors to man’s prosperity and happiness.

When I think of domestic, I see June Cleaver clad in an apron frosting a cake in her
kitchen, Wally and the Beaver stand by her side, jockeying for position to lick
the mixing bowl and spoon.

When I think of terrorist, I see a mob of sharia loving Islamists stoning a woman to
death for the crime of being raped by a mob of sharia loving Islamists.

Marry these two polar opposite lifestyles together, disseminate it through an
irrational corrupt main stream media, and you give liberals a license to
condemn those who love freedom and cherish the constitution, condemn veterans
who have served this nation honorably, condemn everyone who has  raised a family, worked in the marketplace, paid taxes and owns property.

Trying to pawn off the notion that domesticated Americans are capable of terrorism is
another insane accusation, in a long list of insane accusations, perpetrated by
the insane left. This hate speech has serious ramifications; it’s a sterling
example of a totalitarian state demonizing its citizens to justify the use of
force to violate their individual rights.

Domestic Terrorism is a vicious lie, perpetrated to destroy our national heritage and
rob us of liberty. This is the same hyperbolae that marched the Jews into  gas chambers in Hitler’s Germany, forced millions into the concentration camps of Stalin’s Russia, and left millions
dead in the provinces of Mao’s China.

The left trots out this hate speech with impunity, while simultaneously calling for
civility in discourse. These paragons of socialism hide in plain sight, shielded
by a gossamer cloud of political correctness. These people are evil personified,
the enemy within; they are without a doubt the greatest threat to America’s heritage,
liberty, and sovereignty.

Misnomer of the Day

The word Progressive, when applied to the ideology of the left, means Socialism: Marxist Socialism to be exact. The word progressive lends the impression of advancement forward with some vision for the future; this is far too kind a word to describe the left.  It is so typical of the left to adopt this word in an attempt to cloak their deeds, which happen to be less than desirable. A march toward socialism is not progress. Totalitarianism has been around since the dawn of civilization trying to resurrect socialistic disasters of historic proportion is regressive, not progressive.

To ascribe the word progressive to define the leftist ideology is to bolster all that is putrefied; it’s like glorifying progressive malignant cancer. Hey, I have a progressive idea, let’s call them what they are (Marxist Socialists) and maybe, if we repeat this truth over and over, people will come to adopt it as true. Wouldn’t that be a refreshing change? Anecdotal Objectivist

Misnomer of the Week

Crony Capitalism: this little gem of a misnomer is designed to beguile the most impressionable amongst us. Literal Translation = malfeasance and Corruption.

It’s amazing how all economic government failures are blamed on Capitalism. Truth is capitalism, laisser-faire capitalism, has never existed in the history of theUnited States. What we have is a bastardized mixed economy where lobbyists bribe politicians with campaign contributions, kick backs, low interest real-estate loans ect. In return, the government picks industry winners and then showers them with favors like no compete contracts, tax exemptions, favorable regulations, and monopolistic privileges, all of which have absolutely nothing to do with capitalism.

Moving Forward

The time has come for me to change the format of this blog. I have always contended that the battle I wage is a philosophical one, and the best way to teach, the best way to learn, is by example. I hear the voices of fellow objectivist as they apply philosophy to life. Many of their questions arise in the form of predicament stemming from an event or situation. After thirty five years of objective living I am in a position to cognize, categorize, analyze, commiserate, instigate, and liberate. You see, life is a confidence game, and the only way to grow this powerful asset is by alleviating the contradictions that aggravate our daily lives, this paves the way for mastery of the more abstract particulars that elevate us as human beings.

These days, for me, the only contradiction that exists is how to live a rational life in an irrational world. This is no easy task. Proper philosophy is the key and objectivism is the release. However, this demands discipline, discipline most people cannot fathom, nor commit, for they lack the necessary motivation required to develop their potential. It is my hope that during the course of this production, some individuals will grasp the primary concepts of objectivism, take the initiative and benefit, for they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

What I’m offering is a rich lifestyle, one I have chosen for myself and those who wish to join me on this life walk. The next time you see this blog it will contain what I dub The Misnomer of the Week. Here I will isolate the contentious nomenclature changes employed by irrational pragmatists; these paragons of duplicity who obfuscate reality and perpetuate emotional subjectivism in order to deceive the impressionable amongst us. Following this, there will be a link to my podcast which will be an evolving collection of anecdotes pertaining to objectivism. Here at the Tipi Wind Ranch you can expect to find literature, philosophy, horsemanship, gardening, farming, cooking, adventure, nature, and much more, as reality commands center stage in this wilderness oasis we call home.

Ousting the Neocons

The neoconservatives have been forced from the shadows to throw their hats in the political arena. This is something these clandestine kingmakers have been reluctant to do for decades and rightly so; they have controlled the Republican Party under the miasma of moderation, selling out the conservative voices of Americans: but no longer.

The conservative movement that is sweeping this country is taking back the Republican Party and these neocons are raising their heads to cry foul. Last week Charles Krauthammer the neoconservative prophet decried the CPAC as “Fringe elements in the republican party.” He stated, and I paraphrase here, The CPAC is a bunch of college student who what to be Ayn Rand, then eventually grow up to become republicans.

Then there is the prodigal son, Bill Crystal whose father Erving pioneered the neoconservative movement based on the philosophical musings of Leo Strauss, with a smattering of Machiavellian politics. Bill said of the Egyptian uprising, and I paraphrase here, it is 1776 all over again.

He dismisses America’s failed foreign policy in the Middle East, comparing the anarchy of the mob with the American Revolution which created the freest most prosperous nation in history. He and his cohorts from the Bush administration are responsible for empowering the Islamic theocracy sweeping the Middle East. They took radical Islam out of the back streets and alley ways, and placed them in political driver’s seat in Iraq and soon to be Egypt. Not to worry, they say, this is democracy at work, this is freedom. No… . This is a process that empowers our enemies and threatens civilization as we know it.

Poor Harry Reid can’t figure it out either. He said, and I paraphrase here, the Republican Party has been hijacked by the Tea Party and won’t compromise. What he should have said is: “The conservatives have taken back the Republican Party and we can no longer manipulate the neocons.”

You will hear the media in the coming months refer to a rift in the Republican Party. That’s just us, the “Fringe elements” in the Republican Party reshaping it in our conservative image as we strive to save our country from the economic abyss, while restoring fiscal sanity, our liberty and constitution.

Labor Extortion in a Socialist Democracy

The ongoing labor protest in Wisconsin has the backing from the Democratic National Convention and President Obama’s political machine, Organizing for America. This is an unprecedented move by an American president, and his political party, to support a partisan special interest group.

Unions are collectivized labor monopolies. They are exempt from the Sherman Act and the anti- monopoly laws of our nation. For decades they have lived large off the taxpayer’s dime; endowed with Cadillac insurance plans (exempted under Obama care), golden parachute pension with early retirement benefits (apart from social security), and salaries that far surpasses their private sector counterparts. They have accomplished this with the blessing of the Democratic Party, whom they support with union dollars to keep them in political power, essentially paying the democrats to legislate union largess at the taxpayer’s expense.

In Wisconsin we see two coercive government-created, government-sponsored monopolies working in unison: the Teachers Union and the public school system, which has an abysmal record of failure, and a questionable future that defies fiscal sustainability.

The talking heads of liberalism brand this political malfeasance as democracy in action. I beg to differ; this is anarchy in action. The democratic process was instituted last November legally at the ballot box, when the majority of Wisconsin people voted in republican conservatives to restore fiscal order to their state. The DNC endorsed mob on the streets of Madison, Wisconsin represents only a fraction of the taxpaying public; they are by no means a voting majority.

If anything this labor unrest represents socialism. Here we have a collectivized labor monopoly, demanding fiscal privileges from the state, which in turn extorts money (taxes), from the private sector. We have Obama’s political machine enabling a special interest group that constitutes a large part of his voting constituency, and we have the perpetuation of an oppressive government monopoly (state run public schools).

The bottom line is we have two unsustainable monopolies that are no longer economically feasible to maintain: the teachers union, which like all labor monopolies are bankrupting individual states to the tune of billions of dollars and the public school system, which not only is the most expensive in the world, but produces students who rank 36th in the world when compared with other nations.

The governor and the people of Wisconsin are presented with a unique opportunity. They can start a national template for legally dismantling these oppressive labor monopolies. They should immediately eliminate the public school tax burden at the state level, so parents could take the fiscal savings and make financial plans to send their children to private schools. This would be a template disbanding the public school monopoly (another catalyst that would sweep across America).

The democratic socialists (Obama administration), has played its hand in an attempt to maintain the status quo. This only facilitates the conservative movement sweeping across the nation, galvanizing our resolve to restore fiscal sanity to our constitutional republic.

Some time ago the hypothetical question was raised in the media: “Is President Obama a socialist?” There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind; Obama’s actions speak louder than words.
